March 31, 2009 Traveling to Rome, Italy

Everyone up at 5a.m.
Taxi driver said he could not pick us up at 8a.m., he needed to get us at 7a.m., and he was then 30 minutes late. Oh well, we were early and drove quickly to the airport.
Had to transfer things around in suitcases to get the weight correct so we had no overweight charges for luggage.
Waited 3.5 hours in airport for our flight
Just as we were about to line up for checking in, a group of 60 to 70 Parisan teenagers showed up with teachers to check in. The volume in the airport went up about 50 decibles.
EasyJet is a great airline for checking people in. Even though the line was HUGE, we only stood there for less than 15 minutes before we were totally through! Seriously unbeleivable.
Great Flight. Will sick of traveling. Arrived at 2p.m.
Arrived and realized Jennifer had reserved the van at the Leonardo De Vinci airport and not the Campaneli airport. After 1.5 hours, found a large enough taxi to take us 40 km to the other airport. Got to airport at 4p.m.
Reserved a van through CarTrawler. No one had heard of it. Took 2.5 more hours to find it and get the van. Jennifer stayed with the boys and Vanessa on the concrete pad between two parking garages playing.
Searched for GPS cord for one hour so we would not get lost. Got lost anyway. Found hotel just before dark. Vanessa declared this the worst day ever. Boys bouncing off the walls. Hotel rooms. One king bed in each room. Nice and cozy.
Dinner at the hotels restaurant. Seriously delicious Italian food. Vanessa had such a wonderful dish, she declared it was the best day ever!!!! And it was only Spaghetti and Bolenaise sauce!
Jason decided to leave us here and go to Brindisi tomorrow by himself for meetings.
Got to bed just after midnight.
